A double coffee maker from Cuisinart

The Cuisinart DCC-450 personal coffee maker is a 4 cup coffee maker with a stainless steel “carafe” – it will survive if you drop it mid-pour! It is a tidy little machine that will fit snugly into a corner of your counter top or mid size kitchen shelf unit.

There are a number of good features with this model including the automatic shut-off you get when you pull the carafe from the warming plate – the brew process is switched to pause mode which lets you pour a quick mouthful – without all the coffee dripping all over the place. The jug itself has a drip less spout for pouring – there is nothing worse than drips in my opinion – so this is always welcome. The jug also has a roomy grip and protective knuckle guard. The product dimensions are 7-1/2 by 5 by 10-1/2 inches and it comes with a three year warranty. It comes in two color choices too: either black or silver.

The led indicates when the unit is “on” and there is a nice function in the “30 minute” shut down if you forget to turn it off and leave the house – the coffee maker will happily switch off saving energy and your worry.

The 4 cup quantity is more than enough for individual use or for a small family or couple who drink two cups each.
