There is an “active, filtration system” which helps clean out any impurities in the water you are using.

A two position switch lets you easily change the setting for on or two and also which mug to brew into; and once the coffee is brewed it will automatically turn itself off so you don’t have to think about it. It has built in mesh metal filters that do a pretty good job of keeping out the grounds and are easy to clean and reuses. The products dimension are length/width/height in inches: 9.72×6.61×13.66

The makers claim that the stainless steel mugs it comes with will fit into most car cup holders – which is ideal in a travel coffee maker after all – you want to be able to take that coffee on the go with you. Each cup holds 14 ounces. If you want to take the coffee with you on a commute, the mugs come without handles but they remain safe to hold without burning yourself – mind you that wouldn’t be a bad thing on cold mornings. They do have good fitting lids that seal properly too.

The mugs have a nice, curvy design (ergonomic, I think they call it) with a thinner stem that barrels out toward the top which creates a natural easy grip and feel in the palm. One downside is that the mug bottoms are smooth – there is no grip pad or rubber for standing on other surfaces. It’s not too much of a problem as the they were made to slide nicely into the coffee machine but you have to just check the surface of wherever you putting down you’re drink.

Overall, a good product with nice design features but you may want to shop around for the best price.
